Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to permanently delete your PingLynk account and all data associated with it. It is provided so that anyone — whether or not they have a PingLynk account, and without needing to sign in — can read and follow these instructions.

1. If you can sign in: delete it yourself, instantly

If you can still sign in to PingLynk, this is the fastest way to delete your account. It takes effect immediately and permanently — there is no waiting period and nothing to undo afterward.

2. If you can't sign in

If you’ve already disconnected your Instagram account, lost access to your sign-in method, or otherwise can’t reach Settings, you can request deletion manually:

• Email hello@pinglynk.com from an email address you can be reached at.
• Include the email address on your PingLynk account and/or your Instagram username, so we can locate the right account.
• State clearly that you want your account and data permanently deleted.

We will verify your request and complete the deletion, responding within 30 days.

3. What gets deleted

Whether you delete your account yourself or request deletion by email, the following is permanently removed:

• Your stored Instagram access token
• All of your keyword campaigns and their configuration (keywords, messages, target posts)
• Your delivery stats (DMs sent, comment replies sent, link clicks, follow-nudge results)
• Your activity log entries (the record of keyword matches and DM outcomes)
• Media you uploaded to publish to Instagram, and your post history (captions, permalinks, thumbnails)
• Your API key, if you generated one to connect an AI tool via MCP
• Your PingLynk account itself, including your sign-in record

This is a hard delete, not a deactivation — once it’s done, we no longer have this data to give back. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on what we collect and how long we normally retain it.

4. Revoking Instagram access separately

Deleting your PingLynk account removes your access token from our systems, but it does not change anything on Instagram’s side. If you also want to revoke PingLynk’s permission from Instagram’s own records, you can do that independently, at any time, whether or not you delete your PingLynk account:

• Open the Instagram app or instagram.com and go to your account settings.
• Go to Apps and Websites (sometimes listed under “Website permissions” or “Business integrations”).
• Find PingLynk in the list of connected apps and remove/revoke its access.

Doing this on Instagram’s side and deleting your PingLynk account are two separate actions — for a complete cleanup, we recommend doing both.
